“You can’t change the direction of the wind, but you can adjust the sails.”
Navigating you on your journey to financial freedom
Independent, fiduciary retirement planning in Jacksonville — from a disabled combat veteran who works for you, not a big institution.
No cost, no obligation — about 30 minutes.
Is this you?
Most people arrive here with one of three questions
If any of these sound familiar, you are in the right place — and you are far from alone.
“Will my money last?”
You have saved carefully for decades, but nobody has ever shown you, month by month, what the paycheck looks like once the working one stops.
Income Planning“Am I paying too much tax?”
Almost everything is in a 401(k) or IRA, and every dollar that comes out is taxable. There may be a better order to draw from — and a window to act.
Tax Planning“When can I actually retire?”
You have a number in your head. Let us test it against Social Security, healthcare costs, and a bad market in your first few years — and give you a real answer.

How working with us works
You would not sail somewhere new without a chart and a heading. A financial plan deserves the same.
Chart the course
A complimentary visit. We listen first — what matters most to you, your family, and what you want the next twenty years to look like.
Read the water
We gather the real numbers: income, accounts, taxes, benefits, and coverage. No plan is worth anything if it is built on guesses.
Set sail
You receive a written plan in plain language, with the trade-offs stated openly. Then we implement it in a sensible order.
Navigate
Markets move, laws change, and life happens. We review on a schedule and adjust the sails — the course stays yours.
Meet your advisor
Jason French, MBA
Two tours of Operation Enduring Freedom. A career at Merrill Lynch and Edward Jones. And then a decision: build a firm that answers to clients instead of a wire house.
Jason founded French Capital Management in 2015 as an independent Registered Investment Advisory firm — which means an open universe of funds, a fiduciary duty to put your interests first, and no house product to sell. He holds an MBA from the University of North Florida, has passed the Series 63 and Series 65 examinations, and carries a clean regulatory record with no public disclosures.
He is a disabled veteran and French Capital Management is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business. The discipline is the same one he learned in the service: know where you are, know where you are going, and check your position often.
Why French Capital Management
Independent means the advice is actually yours
- Fiduciary, not salesperson. A legal duty to act in your best interest — not merely to recommend something “suitable.”
- An open universe of funds. No proprietary product list, so cost and quality decide what goes in your portfolio.
- Plain language, always. If you cannot explain your own plan to your spouse, we have not finished the job.
- One person who knows your file. You will not be handed to a call centre or reassigned every eighteen months.
- Clean regulatory record. No public disclosures. You can verify it yourself on the SEC’s adviser search.
Don’t take our word for it
Every registered adviser has a public record. Look up the firm and Jason on the SEC’s Investment Adviser Public Disclosure site — registration, history, and any disclosures, in one place.
